Since her start at CSA Education, Rachel has been an integral part of editorial projects with her work in copyediting, fact-checking, and proofreading. She has experience with alignments and template creation and assists the CSA team with various projects. Additionally, she has contributed to design projects and has experience with Adobe programs such as InDesign, InCopy, and Acrobat DC.

Previously, Rachel worked as an intern for Dalkey Archive Press in Bloomington, Illinois, and as a features reporter for The Vidette. As a firm believer in the power of knowledge and education, she is excited by the prospect of developing the tools with which Grades K–12 students and teachers need to succeed. She remains devoted to providing high-quality content to clients through attention to detail and collaborative skills. 

Rachel’s abilities are showcased with her contributions to the following projects:

  • Fact-checking for National Geographic school magazines Explorer Adventurer, Voyager, and Scout
  • Copyediting assistance for Cambium Learning Group LAZ, RAZ Leveled Books, and High/Low Assessments
  • Collaborating with copy editors to input editorial changes for ELA Word Cards for Benchmark Education Company
  • Style checking for thirty-eight titles of Florida Leveled Readers TGs and TEQCs
  • Seeking out artists and creating artist sample sheets for Learning A–Z: RAZ Decodable Passages and Lesson Plans, Grades K–2
  • Creating weekly project cost summary spreadsheets
  • Receiving and tracking subcontractor invoices

Rachel holds a BS degree in Print Journalism from Illinois State University.

Rachel has been a vegetarian for almost four years. She is a big animal lover and would love to eventually live on open land with lots of cows, goats, pigs, and dogs to care for and cuddle.
