NCTM was all set for their centennial celebration in Chicago in 2020, and CSA Education staff members were excited to attend. We were eagerly looking forward to connecting with colleagues, friends, and educators to discuss the latest trends in math education.
When the in-person conference was cancelled, CSA Education put a plan in place to connect with everyone we planned to meet at the conference. We’ve been having engaging virtual meetings with colleagues in different areas of math education, focusing on how CSA Education can help meet student and educator needs in the current education environment.
NCTM found a creative way to provide professional development to the thousands of educators who had planned to attend the conference. Their 100 Days of Professional Learning event offers a wide variety of virtual webinars in April, May, and June—all for free! These webinars address a myriad of topics, from the future of mathematics education to using storytelling in mathematics lessons. Check them out, and let us know which webinars resonated with you.
