Angelique Chavez

Angel Chavez has been a part of the educational publishing scene since 2000. As Senior Director of Project Management and Creative Services at CSA Education, Angel oversees both the Project Management and Creative Services departments. Angel helps to develop and direct the strategic planning of multiple projects by collaborating with the cross-functional teams to streamline processes, procedures, and guidelines. She also oversees the coordination of personnel and resources required to adhere to planned schedules and budgets to successfully complete projects. 

Angel started as an Art and Design Manager before advancing to Senior Project Manager, and then to Managing Editor, where she established herself as a leader of a team of project managers along with creative developers. She has passed on her knowledge and expertise of leading successful print and digital programs to teams under her supervision. She spent years taking on troubled projects and redirecting them back on track.

The following milestones highlight Angel’s career:

• Hiring, training, supporting, and managing both onshore and offshore teams 
• Acting as a main point of contact with offshore teams—setting priorities and ensuring overall quality and timely delivery for print and digital programs
• Collaborating with clients and stakeholders to identify fitting solutions for the project’s needs on items such as scope, new workflows/ guidelines, budgets/pricing, status, schedules, and risks
• Reviewing art, photo, and design specs with specialized components for multiple subject areas

Angel has an Associate of Applied Science degree from Robert Morris University, specializing in Graphic Arts. With a multitude of software skills, she is highly proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Suite, along with various other CMS and management systems such as Google Workspace, SharePoint, FigureOne, Teams, Slack, and Jira. 

When the workday at CSA ends, Angel can be found showcasing her eye for detail in the kitchen! She enjoys making big meals and her favorite type of cuisine to cook is Mexican because once presented on a platter, all the fresh ingredients come together to create a vibrant picture.
