Alignment Manager, Humanities

Eric began his career at CSA Education in 2015. As the project manager in Alignment Services, Eric interacts with both clients and freelancers to ensure everyone is on the same page. He also works directly on correlation projects. 

He has worked on many projects for major educational publishers that include Pearson, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, McGraw-Hill Education, Benchmark, National Geographic, and the American Bar Association. Apart from his work in the Alignment Services department, he excels in copyediting, fact-checking, and writing for various student- and teacher-facing editorial materials. Some of his contributions include the following:

  • Managing projects submitted to the Alignment Services department
  • Communicating with and editing the work of freelance correlators to ensure work is done to client specifications
  • Routinely completing correlations for varied standard sets and subject areas
  • Writing and editing standards-based, text-dependent assessment items, decodable stories, and various elements of ELA instructional materials
  • Executing copyediting and fact-checking projects for national publications in the sciences and social studies

Eric graduated from the University of Illinois at Champaign–Urbana with a BA in News–Editorial Journalism.

Eric has played ice hockey since he was five years old, starting in the junior leagues, playing defense for his college team and in the prestigious Silver Stick Tournament in Toronto, Canada. He still plays defense on a city league team with friends.
