Junior Barros

As Senior Creative Services Manager for CSA Education, Junior is responsible for continuously managing and monitoring assigned Design and UX department projects as well as actively participating in projects as needed. Junior manages the internal Design and UX staff as well as independent contractors to ensure the delivery of high-quality materials that are on time and on budget.

Junior is an outgoing, enthusiastic, forward thinker known for his creative solutions to challenges. From Art Director to Multimedia Designer and Animator, Junior has a wide range of design experience spanning a variety of industries. Junior began his career as a Production Artist, and after demonstrating his capabilities in animation, video editing, and design, he moved into the role of Art Director. From there, Junior worked as a Multimedia Designer for a project used at the 2016 Olympic Games hosted by Brazil! With a small team, he developed and produced an open interactive station that allowed the public to watch the games, take selfies, play minigames, and even order food. Junior has sharpened his tech skills while working as an Apple specialist, and most recently had a chance to lead and produce an Augmented Reality interactive experience.

Highlights from Junior’s career include the following:

• Animating assets, and leading and producing an Augmented Reality interactive experience for an events company
• Creating multimedia marketing materials such as banners, posters, and social media for presentations and events; implementing workshops and creativity exercises
• Creating, producing, and directing video commercials and presentations for large-scale events
• Working with a small team, developing and producing an “interactive wall” (video projection) that allowed people to interact with the elements in the projection for the 2016 Olympic Games hosted by Brazil
• Guiding and implementing rebranding efforts for an online law school in Brazil

Junior earned his Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Design from Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE) in Brazil. He is bilingual in English and Portuguese.

Junior grew up in a very hot area of Brazil, but he prefers very cold places like his current state of California. He is a huge Disney fan, which influenced him to study animation. Junior is also very crafty and loves to challenge himself by sewing various costumes from scratch!
