As CSA Education’s Senior Director of STEM and Alignment, Katie oversees the alignment team as well as content development for Math, Science, and CTE. She supports and guides project teams to successfully complete projects on time, on budget, and with the high-quality service you expect from CSA. Katie works to understand client expectations for each project and collaborates with project leads to build the teams that will execute the vision.

Working in educational publishing for more than 20 years, Katie excels at training, product development, and digital transformations—adapting content to new learning models. She has worked for both educational publishers as well as vendors, giving her a well-rounded perspective of content development and alignment for K–12 and CTE.

Highlights from Katie’s career include the following:

  • Managing content design and learning strategy for online curriculum
  • Delivering professional development workshops for a large school district
  • Recruiting, building, and nurturing dozens of project teams by providing training and creating organizational tools to manage thousands of pieces of content and art for complex curriculum products
  • Creating a new learning model with 90 lessons and restructuring content for an interactive, consumable, e-learning product
  • Customizing existing Math series to align with CCSS

Katie earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from Southwestern University in Texas.

Katie enjoys crafting, particularly knitting and quilting. Her most-beloved friends and family get handmade gifts, but they must qualify as “knit-worthy” or “quilt-worthy”. Katie is a problem-solver and engineer at heart and does daily puzzles like The New York Times Wordle, Connections, and Mini Crossword. She is an avid audiobook reader and enjoys many different genres, but gravitates toward historical fiction, science fiction, and fantasy. Also, Katie will fight you for the corner brownie—you can keep the gooey center.
