As an Alignment Manager for CSA Education, Liz Howe reviews all curriculum in Social Studies, Math, Science, and English Language Arts. She also assesses elective programs such as Psychology and Personal Finance. She is in charge of project management for alignment and oversees independent contractor work.
Educating K-12 students has always been at the heart of Liz’s career. Starting in 2007, she worked with kids as a fifth and sixth grade teacher at Dorris Intermediate School. In 2013, she began working as a Curriculum Specialist for Studies Weekly, Inc., where she developed K-6 Social Studies and Science student material and lesson plans, all the while working with their in-house product development and marketing teams. Liz joined Houghton Mifflin Harcourt as a Learning Architect in 2018, where her expertise in Social Studies served her well as she designed and developed both print and digital content for K–6 Social Studies learning products.

Liz received her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Elementary Education from Southern Illinois University in 2007. In 2011, she earned her Master’s degree from McKendree University in Teacher Leadership. She is also certified in Elementary Self-Contained K-9 teaching, with an endorsement in Middle School Social Science.
Liz is a bargain shopper and loves couponing. She does it so well, she often gets things for free! She also loves crime shows and documentaries.
