Liz Howe

As a Project Manager for CSA Education, Liz manages content, editorial, and design projects. She oversees the day-to-day scheduling and tracking for assigned projects, and assists project leads with the management of internal staff and independent contractors. Liz works directly with clients to ensure all project needs and deadlines are met within budget.

Starting as a fifth and sixth grade teacher, educating K-12 students has always been at the heart of Liz’s career. She became a Curriculum Specialist, where she developed K-6 Social Studies and Science student material and lesson plans, all the while working with in-house product development and marketing teams. Becoming a Learning Architect a few years later, Liz’s expertise in Social Studies served her well as she designed and developed print and digital content for K–6 Social Studies learning products.

Highlights from Liz’s career include the following:

• Participating in project planning; making suggestions to address customer needs; completing competitive and standards analyses, research, literature searches, and fact-checking
• Working as a Technical Writer to gather, analyze, translate, and compose technical information into clear, readable documents to be used by personnel
• Collaborating with members of cross-functional project teams and vendors 
• Creating lessons, activities, and assessments that are aligned to various state standards
• Developing state and national standards-aligned thematic units 
• Co-teaching and assisting in implementing and developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

Liz received her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Elementary Education from Southern Illinois University. She earned her Master’s degree from McKendree University in Teacher Leadership. She is also certified in Elementary Self-Contained K-9 teaching, with an endorsement in Middle School Social Science. 

Liz is a bargain shopper and loves couponing. She does it so well, she often gets things for free! She also loves watching crime shows and documentaries.
