Neelam Kulkarni

Neelam is a passionate educator, with proven experience writing, editing, and aligning curricular materials. As Senior Editorial Manager of Math at CSA, Neelam is responsible for continuously managing and monitoring K–12 Math editorial projects. She assists with and oversees the day-to-day workflow of assigned projects, including management of independent contractors. Neelam ensures on-time and on-budget delivery of high-quality materials that are accurate, consistent, and adhere to all client-specified rules and guidelines.

Neelam is skilled at collaboration, communication, and team-building, which she has demonstrated throughout her twenty years of professional, practical, and academic experiences. In addition to her background as a classroom teacher, Neelam has been writing and editing educational content for several educational publishers and EdTech companies for well over a decade.

Highlights from Neelam’s career include the following:

• Teaching elementary and intermediate school for seven years, and thirteen years of writing, editing, and curriculum alignment experience
• Understanding pedagogy, best practice, and curriculum standards, including TEKS, MAFS, and CCSS
• Demonstrating K–8 expertise in Math, Science, Reading, Writing, ELL, and Social Studies
• Writing and editing student editions, teacher editions, assessments, supplementary materials, discovery-based lessons, test prep questions, cross-curricular lessons, investigative lessons, and curriculum road maps for print production
• Writing and editing interactive student-driven lesson content and assessments in digital platforms including Habitat, Engrade, and Learnosity, and writing and editing storyboards for instructional videos

Neelam earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Biology from The University of Texas at Austin. She earned her Master of Arts degree in Curriculum and Instruction, also from The University of Texas at Austin. Neelam holds Texas Teacher Certificates for Grades 1–8 in Elementary Self-Contained, Elementary Biology, and English as a Second Language. 

Neelam loves creating and crafting. She has practiced many creative arts throughout her life, including crochet, cross stitch, sewing, card making, coloring, zentangle, and embroidery. Neelam also enjoys reading, traveling, and yoga, and has seen every episode of Law & Order: SVU!
