Statement on Racial Injustice

CSA Education has always been, and will continue to be, an inclusive company that supports the civil and human rights of all citizens. The protests we have witnessed over the past several days speak to a long history of our country’s failure to ensure these very rights for all people. We condemn the pervasive hatred that has permeated our social and economic structures for so long. Because CSA’s work directly contributes to the education of our youth, it bears the responsibility to share the facts behind the systemic racism and social injustice in this country and to elevate the voices of the black community.

Let us be clear: CSA supports racial equality, justice, and those who work to achieve both. CSA rejects racism and oppression in all forms. We stand for the idea that all people should be heard, valued, and seen regardless of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, background, or creed.

We strive to ensure that all students see themselves included in our projects through our choice of reading materials, illustrations, and photography. We put students and learning first as we endeavor to give everyone an equal chance for a bright future and a strong foundation to build upon. We all have the responsibility to do better, to work collaboratively toward a common goal and a better future for the oppressed. We continue to seek ways to increase our company’s contribution toward this collective end and remain resolute in the belief that this cannot be a vision that fades after the peaceful protests subside.
